MSME SUPPORT: VP Yemi Osibanjo revealed the actual number of people payed by Survival Fund


Vice President Yemi Osibanjo gave a total breakdown of the beneficiaries of the Payroll Support, Transport/Artisan grant, MSME general grant and the Guarantee Off-take Scheme all under the Survival Fund program.

Speaking at the maiden edition of the National MSME Discourse under the theme ” Little Beginning, Huge Impact”. The event held in Abuja on Thursday , Osibanjo said MSMEs are the bedrock of every economy and must be supported.

Osibanjo who was represented by the honourable Minister for Industry, Trade and Investment Dr. Niyi Adebayo gave the breakdown of the scheme (Survival Fund) as follows;

• PAYROLL= 459,307 Out of 500,000 beneficiaries.

• MSME GENERAL GRANT= Over 44,000 out of 100,000 beneficiaries.

• GUARANTEE OFF-TAKE; are also expected to receive payment soon.

Osibanjo said;

“As the engine room of every economy, we cannot neglect MSMEs, there is yet another N200bn released by the CBN as part of it’s intervention fund and another N100bn released for the exporters”

Osibanjo said, the remaining applicants of the Survival Fund program will be paid soon as the steering committee receives fund from CBN.
