The Governorship candidate of the NNPP in Benue state, Prof. Bem Angwe has stated that women will get over 35 per cent inclusiveness in his administration if he wins the gubernatorial election in 2023.

Prof. Angwe who spoke during his presentation of registration Certificates of Multi Purpose Cooperative Society Limited to widows of Mbajande and Mbaingyoroko Communities both of Mbakyaan Council Ward of Kusuv district, Buruku Local Govt Area of Benue State in company of the National Legal Advisor of the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, Barr. Robert Hon, noted that women were not given a fair share in the governance of the affairs of the state and in the country in general.

According to the the Human Rights Defender, women constitute over 40 per cent of the state’s population, hence the need for his administration to give them enough recognition that will enable them participate in the development of the state.

The former Chairman of the Governing board of the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) noted the need for women inclusion in his administration Saying, “There is a need for more women in governance because they have a golden touch that makes everything they are involved in succeeding.

“My administration will ensure that women are recognised and given the credit that is due to them. When women are given a place to thrive, it’s all the family that would benefit from it, as against giving men the same privilege.

“We will ensure that women are assisted in every sphere, whether as a career woman or businesswoman, every woman will be positively touched by my policy.”

The Media and Publicity Aide to the gubernatorial candidate, Comr. Orseer Mnzughulga further quoted his principal as saying, ” Also, the widows will not also be left out. Everyone will be given fair and just treatment.

“Women and children are the most vulnerable and weak members of the Society that require special attention and Protection particularly given the fact that Women represents the link between the present and future of the society. I therefore enjoin you to be hard working, focused and united in your efforts to contribute to the development of your society.”

Reacting, Mrs. Mwuese Akuva who received the certificate for Mbangyoroko widows and Apeair Ukor Ahambe for Mbakyaan all appreciated Prof. Angwe for the honour done to them by recognising their Son, Barr. Robert Hon. They promised that they will sensitize all their members to ensure they all vote for all the NNPP candidates at the polls in the 2023 General elections.

Kusuv Traditional heads shower blessings on Prof. Bem Angwe

In a related development, Kusuv council of traditional rulers on Wednesday gave their blessings to Prof. Bem Angwe.

The former executive Secretary, National Human Rights Commission, NHRC also interfaced with his teeming supporters at Anvambe, the headquarters of Mbakyaan council ward where he was eulogized for his track records of achievements with assurances of voting for him come 2023 for continuity in large volumes.

Meanwhile, the gubernatorial candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP in the March 2023 general elections in Benue state, His Excellency, Prof. Bem Angwe had earlier on his way to Mbakyaan council ward had a brief stop over with his entourage at the residence of Hon. Prof. Stephen Dugguh at Tyôwanye in Buruku local government area where the two professors exchanged ideas towards the redemption of Benue state come 2023.

Prof. Stephen Ior-Amo Dugguh is a former Benue State House of Assemby Member and the Director, Centre for Entrepreneurship and Service at Federal University, Kashere, Gombe State.

Leader, Contact and Mobilization of the NNPP Presidential candidate, Alh. Halilu Balele, Mallam Akibu Murtala, one of the beneficiaries of Kwankwaso scholarship scheme, Hon. Tevin Akardeh amongst others accompanied the gubernatorial candidate to the event.
