The Swifin digital platform has sent an appreciative message to all Lumi stimulus beneficiarie with words of encouragement and assurance over the possibility of Lumi currency conversion expected to commence later in the year. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
The CEO Dr. Linus Etube through his team has given updates on the Lumi currency achievements in the previous year and highlights on major events to be expected in the present year which includes the integration of Lumi in economies and it’s possible conversion this year. The warm message reads in whole thus;
“What an exciting journey we have had in 2021. During the year we saw transactions in the Lumi reach AKL 74.97 billion in over 80 million transactions.
The recent and the 15th Lumi stimulus payments went out as smoothly as ever on the 28th of December 2021 to members of the Swifin Platform. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); We reach and exceed a new record every time – distribution of a central bank issued digital currency (CBDC) on this scale and efficiency is a first globally and it is something we must all celebrate as we enter the new year.
There have been some challenges such as supporting those in the most remote areas with limited internet access and onboarding those who are not tech savvy, but we continue to drive ahead with our collective goal of financial inclusion for all and fighting against poverty and youth unemployment through economic empowerment.
We have made significant progress. For example;
Registration on the Swifin Platform remains free.
•We have implemented the ability to settle any invoice amount specified in any currency in the world with the underlying value being transferred in Lumi in real time.
We have introduced a new online messaging service for secure internal communication between members via the online portal https://platform.swifin.com.
Millions of households are being reached and
Lives are being transformed.
