JUST IN: Trump says “CNN after my political career”; demanding $475 million through a court ruling

Former President Donald Trump on Monday sued CNN, looking for $475 million in damages, saying the organization had slandered him with an end goal to hamper future political mission.

The claim, recorded in U.S. District Court in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, centers essentially around the terms “The Big Lie” about Trump’s bogus cases of boundless misrepresentation that he says cost him the 2020 official political race to Joe Biden.

CNN said it had no remark on the claim.

Various government and election authorities in the two players, a considerable rundown of courts, top previous mission staff members and, surprisingly, Trump’s own head legal officer have all said there is no proof of the political decision extortion he charges.

Trump more than once gone after CNN as president, which reverberated with his moderate adherents. He has comparably recorded claims against huge tech organizations with little achievement. His body of evidence against Twitter for thumping him off its platform following the Jan. 6, 2021, U.S. State Capitol rebellion was tossed out by a California judge recently.

Trump’s lawsuit claims “The Big Lie,” a phrase with Nazi connotations, has been used in reference to him more than 7,700 times on CNN since January 2021.

“It is intended to aggravate, scare and trigger people,” he said.
