IF YOU ARE A FARMER THAT ENGAGES IN POULTRY AND FISH FARMING THEN YOU ARE LUCKY


 

The Lagos State government is to empower farmers before the end of August, 2021. 

This is disclosed by the Lagos State Commissioner for Agriculture Mrs. Abisola Olusanya in a statement on Sunday, according to the news agency of Nigeria.

The Honourable Commissioner named the category of farmers expected to benefit from the program to include 3000 agripreneurs in the state engaging in poultry farming, piggery, fisheries and rice farming.

She stated that this year’s agricultural value chain activation program which is expected to come up on the 29th of July 2021 will witness a massive turnaround that has not been witnessed before.

Mrs. Abisola said, 70% of the beneficiaries are expected to be women and youths which may be drawn from the 3 sectors which were mostly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and the zoonotic diseases.
