Ghasarah visits four districts of Kwande; sourced delegates ahead of the party’s primary election


A frontline contender in the Benue gubernatorial race on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Msoo Llewellyn Ghasarah has began sourcing for delegates ahead of the party’s primary election to decide the standard bearer for the party in the next general elections.

Hon. Msoo while addressing elders, ward Chairmen and supporters of the party in Nanev said, Kwande has capable hands to steer the Benue ship to the promised land.

He said, as a Son of Mbayoor which is a council ward in Nanev district of Kwande Local Government Area, it is only right to first identify with your home and consult your kinsmen before reaching out to the general public.

In a separate remark, the APC leader of Nanev district, Hon. Elder Terpase Adagi appreciated the efforts of the guber hopeful saying, Hon. Msoo Ghasarah’s antecedents has proven him to be the right person for the job.

Elder Adagi also handed Msoo over to the elders of the party in Nanev which were drawn across the four council wards of the district (Agba-Kyan, Usar, Township and Mbayoor) as it is a custom in Tiv land signifying acceptance by the elders.

The guber hopeful also visited the elders of the party in Koti, Shangev-ya district of Kwande Local Government. In Koti, Msoo stressed that as a youth, the call to serve is inspired by the cries of his people.

Leader of the party in Shangev-ya district, Hon. Thomas Terzungwe Dugeri appreciated Msoo for consulting them at the district level, noting that no guber aspirant has ever consulted with the people of Shangev-ya at the district level before. He assured the guber hopeful of their overwhelming support to make sure he (Msoo) emerge as the party’s candidate in the forthcoming elections.

In Turan, the Exco members and elders of the party lead by the leader Hon. Samuel Jimei JP applauded the efforts of Hon. Msoo Ghasarah for choosing to do politics differently from his Co-aspirants by consulting them at their subset (district level). The leader assured Ghasarah of their total support to ensure he emerge the party’s sole candidate in the forthcoming elections.

Ghasarah and his entourage also visited the Kyurav-ya district where the APC elders and Exco members lead by elder Hon. Hanior Henda gave them a warm reception. The gubernatorial aspirant also addressed supporters and elders of the party drawn from the three council wards in Kyurav-ya (Liev I, Liev II and Menev). He also solicits support as he sourced for delegates in the district.

Msoo Ghasarah was accompanied by his Kwande Co-ordinator Hon. Terfa Ukende, his Media Aid Nelson Owoicho Onyilo and his Co-ordinator Hon. Dorcas Dzungwe.

Others are Elder Terkura Shaminja from Usar, Gboko Shase from Usar and Terhemba Akaa from Mbayoor.
