Our gratitude goes to the President and Commander in Chief of the Nigerian armed forces Gen. Muhammad Buhari Rtd. and those who influence selecting Dansadau forests for the planned joint military exercises and testing of newly acquired Super Tucano Fighter Jets.
We hope this will not be like the previously held military exercises conducted in July 2016 where Mr President and the then CSO Tukur Buratai launched Operation Harbin Kunama in the same community.
But regrettably all the deployed heavy duty military hardwires were demobilized less than a week after the exercises, as a result all the criminals that fled the exercises regrouped and continued their rain of terror to this day.
We are appealing on governemt to permanently station atleast 300 military personnel for the sake of God and humanity in Dansadau Forests since the jungles in the emirate is home to about 28 bandits camps according to people living in the sorrounding communities.
Dansadau is the official Operational and Spiritual headquarters of bandits, as such only monthslong military offensive against these bandits will bring peace in the community and the state at large.
Those close to the President are obviously not telling him the truth, insecurity in the North is so abysmal that killings, kidnappings and hostage taking is everyday’s headlines on both print and online media.
At this critical point and time we will appreciate it if government at all levels put all other unnecessary governmental activities on suspension until Insecurity problem is fixed.
We hope governemt heed to out calls and live up to its responsibilities before the entire Northern region becomes a lawless territory.
