Last year (2021) a lady by name Kendall Heiman from Lawrenceville reported that her “Volkswagen 2021 Atlas Cross Sport” stopped in the middle of the road for no reason.

This move (of recalling those faulty SUVs became necessary as about 47 persons had reported same issue to the United States Safety Regulators. The report said, just when the car is about to brake itself, the driver’s window will roll down and safety lights together with alarms will automatically turned off, then the SUV will brake itself in the middle of traffic.

The company has recalled the 2019 model, model 2020, model 2021, model 2022 and finally the model 2023 of the Atlas Cross Sport SUVs respectively. The company also explained that the fault is to electrical contact interrupting the connections which can also cause the airbags to deploy late when crashed. And it was also noted that if the SUVs are moving at a lower speed the tendency of it braking itself is much more higher especially when moving below 1.8 miles per hour.
