A Hushpuppi-based action thriller would be made by EbonyLife Studios, a Nigerian production firm owned by media mogul and director Mo Abudu, it was reported in August 2021.

According to Ms. Abudu, who first announced the news on Instagram, EbonyLife Studios and Will Packer Productions will collaborate to create an untitled production based on the Evan Ratliff piece from Bloomberg headlined “The Fall of the Billionaire Gucci Master.”

Since neither party has provided an update, it is unknown where the intended film project stands.

However, 50 Cent’s comments have heightened interest among Nigerians once more, with Nollywood players pleading with him to permit a Nigerian with a Nigerian accent to play the lead role.
