For obvious reasons, Swifin digital platform handling the Lumi stimulus disbursement has outlined few categories of it’s digital platform users that may not be paid today.
Despite registering freely on the platform as a user, ordinarily everyone that has registered his or herself on the platform ought to be paid the stipend amount of AKL6.26 every month. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
However, things are no longer the same. Swifin disclosed that certain categories of it’s users may not receive payment this month because they have violated the platform’s terms of service, while others did not follow it’s registration guidelines for new user registration as amended.
These categories of people are listed as follows;
1. Those caught in fraudulent activity: A few persons whom newsway reported earlier as been kept under surveillance were permanently disabled from using the Swifin digital platform and will under no circumstances receive the stimulus again. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Such people were reported to have specialized in hacking and transferring money from other users without their consent.

A report was forwarded to the support team through newsway and the supposed fraudsters were temporarily suspended pending when the team will verify the claim. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
Those accounts were later disabled having confirmed, the support team sent a feedback alleging that the hacker’s account had a cumulative balance of AKL2,765 signifying that the amount might have been transferred from different accounts.
2. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Those who registered after the self-registration was restricted: Swifin earlier this month announced that self-registration with the purpose of transacting in AKL was no longer allowed on its platform.
The image shows that Swifin restricted self-registration of new users with the aim of receiving stimulus. |
Newsway learnt that, the restrictions were due to several accounts that were registered with fake documentations. Many people especially Nigerians have specialized in registering many accounts with fake documents.
Some persons were uploading pictures of vehicles and flags where ID Card is demanded, others uploaded pictures of livestock where selfie is required.
These categories of people have been outlined not to expect payments again. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); The team hinted Newsway that such accounts are not yet disabled but must be validated by owners before they may be able to withdraw their Lumi should any need be.
In another development, we reported yesterday that an “External Payment” feature has been added or integrated on the Swifin platform. The feature will act as a gateway which maybe meant to allow users transfer AKL to other digital platforms which may subsequently be listed on Swifin.
For instance, a user may transfer AKL to fartfin digibank for exchange or the Speed Wallet and other platforms that are housing various digital assets but not crypto wallets.
