The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) says 450 business visionaries in the South-East will be trained under the National Business Skills Development Initiative (NBSDI).
The Director-General of SMEDAN, Mr Olawale Fasanya, revealed this on Tuesday during the opening ceremony of the training of the NBSDI beneficiaries in Enugu.
Fasanya, who was represented by the South-East Coordinator of SMEDAN, Mr Victor Ugwu, said NBSDI was intended to give enterprising and professional abilities as well as empowerment materials to fill the capacity hole of the youths.
He said that the program was being executed in all States of the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
As indicated by Fasanya, 3,330 business owners will be trained on business and professional abilities and empowered with materials at the pace of 90 entrepreneurs for every state and FCT.
“Today, the program is beginning all the while in every one of the states in the South-East where a sum of 450 business visionaries will be trained with business and professional skills,” he said.
He said that the 90 business owners in Enugu State would be trained in design, clothing and cooking.
