The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has released it’s timetable for the sales of Nomination and Expression of Interest Forms as well as the conduct of primaries to produce candidates that will be contending with those in the other political parties in the 2023 general elections.
According to the schedules of events on the timetable, the sales of Nomination and Expression of Interest Forms will be commencing on the 22nd of April, 2022 and will be ending on the 7th of May, 2022 while aspirants are advised to submit completed forms from 9th may through to 18th of May.
The ruling party has also fixed 11th May through to 23rd of May, 2022 to screen aspirants while Tuesday May 17th through to May 30th has been scheduled for the conduct of it’s primaries respectively.
NewsWay learnt that presidential candidates in the ruling party will have to spend as huge as N50 million to purchase the Nomination and Expression of Interest Forms. The Nomination form is fixed at the price of N35 million while the Expression of Interest Form will cost Presidential Aspirants the sum of N5 million respectively.
The party also fixed it’s Governorship Nomination and Expression of Interest forms at the cost of N30 million while those for the Senate and House of Representatives will cost N10 million and N5 million respectively.
House of Assembly’s Nomination and Expression of Interest Forms have been fixed at the cost of N2 million.
The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) also scheduled it’s election appeals from 20th May and it is expected to end on the 27th of May, 2022. However, it is not clear when campaigns will be commencing.
