Pi Network: Justin Sun not ready to abide by Core Team’s decision yet, but why is he stubborn?

None of the Platforms, including Justin Sun’s Huobi, have complied with the Pi Network Core Team’s demand to have exchanges delist the Pi token.

How it started

On January 1, Justin Sun, the founder of TRON, a member of the worldwide advisory board of Huobi, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Permanent Representative of Grenada to the WTO, tweeted three distinct polls to gauge the opinions of the project communities.

The controversy

In Justin Sun’s first tweets of the year 2023, he attempted to measure the opinions of his 3.4 million followers regarding the strength of the CoreDAO and Pi Network communities.

Whether Huobi should list Pi Coin and Core Token is a question posed in two of the polls. To determine which project has the greatest community, a third vote was conducted.

Even more respondents in favor of Huobi listing the Core token once the mainnet launches in the second poll.

With more than 38 million users, the Pi Network community voted more in support of Sun’s final poll. Within Justin Sun’s Crypto Twittersphere, the Pi community is unquestionably stronger than the CoreDAO group.

Pi Network Core Team not interested yet

The Core Team has stated that they are against the token being listed, and have even referred to it as fake and unapproved, and have cautioned that trading it could result in asset loss.

“It is important to reiterate that Pi is currently in the Enclosed Network and is not approved by Pi Network for listing on any exchange or for trading, and Pi Network was not involved with any of these purported postings or listings,” the December 29 announcement said.

However, officially, neither listing nor buying of Pi coins is permitted. To mine them, interested parties must sign up for the network.

At this point, there is no formal statement supporting or denouncing the plans to list the Core DAO Token by its developers.
