Alhaji Aliko Dangote said doctors told him that his brother, Sani, would die in an hour, and that he died when it was about time, “Watching life support machine stops until it stops working.
Dangote said this when All Progressives Congress (APC) national leader Alhaji Bola Tinubu returned him a condolence visit to Kano on Friday … as Muslims we don’t know who will be next, and it may be today, tomorrow or even now.
“That’s why it’s good to be good, so when you get there you’ll find that you’ve done what you’ve been asked to do on earth,” Dangote said.
He said his brother’s death was a very difficult time for the family, especially for him because they were almost connected. “And having a brother like that, once you lose him, it’s really very painful, because he died in front of me, our mother and all of her children.
The painful thing is when you are told your brother will die in about an hour and you watch the car get off until it stops running, ”Dangote said.
Earlier, Tinubu told Dangote he was shocked to learn of Sani’s death. He has described him as a gentleman throughout his life.
“I ask the family to take courage and continue to pray for the rest of the soul of the late Sani Dangote.” We are not here just to complain or to comfort you, we are here together to mourn our dear brother, “Sani is not just yours, he is a Lagosian and a great Nigerian and a friend and brother to all of us here.”

Tinubu also met the deceased’s grandfather, Alhaji Aminu Dantata.
“Death is a demonstration of Allah’s will, it is not about money, because money cannot buy life.
“We pray to Allah to forgive his sins and grant him paradise,” he said.
Dantata thanked Tinubu for the condolence.
