INSECURITY: China to send a high-level delegation of crime experts to Nigeria


Concerned about the uncertainty in the country, China has offered to send a high-level delegation of crime experts to a meeting with Nigerian security authorities, the Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, Cui Jianchun, announced in Abuja on Wednesday when I was speaking to journalists on the sidelines of the event . 

China-Nigeria Friendship Award October 1st to students at Ahmadu Bello Zaria University Cui said China’s move was part of its support to tackle insecurity in Nigeria, and revealed that students are expected to see security experts come to Nigeria soon. 

The government is very concerned about the security situation in Nigeria and also about the Chinese citizens in Nigeria. “We’re working hard to get China’s support. I think it really worries all Nigerians and I think it’s not just about the Nigerian people and government, we need international support too.

“Decision to send a high-level delegation of judicial experts with real experience. “You come to Nigeria and can talk to the people and the government about how to find a way to work together to meet the challenges they face,” said Cui. 

Vice-Chancellor of the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Prof. Kabiru Bala, thanked the Chinese government for its support and the Nigerian government for its efforts in curbing insecurity.

Bala said that the university campus has been secured to a large extent following the interventions of the government after the institution requested reinforced security.
