ECO-6 LUMI: McPherson lands in Liberia; meets finance minister to discuss Lumi integration


The ECO-6 head Timothy Elisha McPherson has proceeded on his Lumi campaign having finished discussion with Sierra leone government has again landed in Liberia to meet with government officials and discuss Lumi integration into the Liberian economy before the end of this year.

As scheduled, the ECO-6 authorities will be meeting with the relevant stakeholders in the financial sector before proceeding to Senegal in a later date.

The Authorities of the Economic Community of the Sixth African Region (ECO-6) said in a press release of 30th March that it will be implementing it’s policy on foreign currency swap with the Lumi and also execute the Exchange Rate Mechanism (ERM) before the end of this year.

The Economic Community of States, Territories, and Realms of the African Diaspora Sixth Region was laid out by Treaty on August first, 2019.

ECO-6 has been laid out as an empowering structure for collaboration between individuals from the African Diaspora both among themselves as well similarly as with the continent of Africa.

ECO-6 seeks to make the Diaspora the most important trading partner for Africa, with a view towards poverty eradication through African industrialization and internal trade.

​By propelling the worldwide African political discourse in regions, for example, sustainable power, culture, schooling, farming, medical care, security, and money, ECO-6 will act as a considerable impetus of coordination among Africa and the Diaspora.
