There is uncertainty as to when precisely the Swifin digital platform (portal) and the Swifin’s mobile App may return to full commercial services again.
This according to Swifin Plc is due to system upgrade that has become necessary due to the growing number of users across Africa and even Africans living in Europe.
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Beneficiaries expressed dissatisfaction over the prolonged system upgrade that the company embarked upon without prior notification to the platform users.
One of the platform users from Ogun State, Nigeria, Mr. Amos Adetunji said;
“Swifin ought to have notify it’s users or account holders that they are embarking on a sectional or total system upgrade that may last this long, but nothing of such was done. They waked up on the 6th of January and decided to embark on a long time upgrade.” he said.

“I believe that this upgrade will be completed before the next stimulus payday which is on the 28th of this month.”
Another stimulus beneficiary from Benue State, Mr. Joseph Akaakohol lamented that though the upgrade was necessary the time frame for it’s completion is what we are optimistic about.

“I’m just tired of the whole thing, I wasn’t expecting the upgrade to last this long. Each time I try to login on the platform it doesn’t connect. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); At first I thought it was just a normal network failure until I read on newsway that I realized it was actually an upgrade.”
The Swifin support team declined to several remarks requested of them. As it is now there is no substantial information on when the e-commerce portal will be live again.
