CORE DAO delays Airdrop project launch; cited Christmas as major reason

The launch of CORE DAO’s airdrop project has apparently been delayed, with the developers citing the Christmas holiday as the primary justification.

A tweet that has been making the rounds on Twitter since yesterday, December 26, claims that January 1st has been set as the new launch date.

The Core DAO team assured the community that the project’s long-term vision will remain compatible prior to the eagerly awaited mainnet launch. The Core DAO’s long-term objective is to grow its ecosystem and forge a beneficial alliance with Bitcoin miners.

In a blog post published on December 15, the Core DAO team informed users that testnet activity and audits have been completed in preparation for the mainnet launch. The mainnet and the Satoshi Plus consensus mechanism are both ready for a full launch, which is critical. In order to take advantage of Satoshi Plus’s delegated hash power capabilities, the blog indicated that Core DAO is prepared to work with Bitcoin miners.
