As the battle for the Benue State gubernatorial race gets intensed, an elstwhile Minister of steel and industry and an elder statesman Chief Wantaregh Paul Iorpuu Unongo has anointed his preferred Candidate for the number one seat in the State.

Unongo also noted that the present administration has done marvelously in security but believes Msoo Ghasarah will do better in the other sectors that needs urgent intervention.
“Msoo Ghasarah’s gubernatorial project which has the slogan “MSOO BENUE” meaning “I love Benue” is one that should be supported by all who feel Benue ought to be better than what it is today.”
Also responding, the Governorship aspirant Hon. Msoo Ghasarah while thanking Chief Unongo said he will ever remain grateful to the elder statesman for recommending him to the public and finding him capable to tackle the challenges faced by the people of Benue State.
Msoo noted that Youths and women in particular needs to be given priority by engaging them in profitable ventures that will improve their standard of living. His remarks reads in part;
“I will ever remain grateful to My father, the elder statesman whose exemplary life I’m trying to emulate.Though, he had a vision to transform Benue but God didn’t permits him so I’m coming to fulfill that vision. I’m also not happy seeing youths and women struggling to even survive on less than a dollar a day. In a bid to create an inclusive government, my administration will engage women and youths in profitable ventures that I’m sure will improve their standard of living.”
Ghasarah believes that as a businessman and an industrialist his administration will control the menace of multiple taxation that has sent many businesses out of the state.
He also revealed that he will come up with a different strategy that will be of mutual benefit to the State Government and companies that may not be able to pay tax in totality. He said, such companies will be mandated to employ a certain percentage of the Youths or women and pay them salaries from the pax.
