V, also known as Kim Taehyung (Republic of Korea), is a seventh of the musical force known as BTS.

All of the BTS band members originally made their Instagram accounts public on December 6, 2021, which resulted in an immediate increase in followers.

However, V in particular took the lead in terms of the number of followers, shattering the record for the quickest time to reach 1 million Instagram followers in just 43 minutes.

His streak of breaking records continued, though.

His followers increased from one million to ten million in just four hours and twenty-two minutes, shattering the previous record for the quickest time to acquire ten million Instagram followers.

Despite the fact that V broke the records, the septet’s other members, including RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, and Jungkook, now each have more than 20 million followers.

As new celebrities join the platform, the record for the quickest period to accumulate 1 million Instagram followers frequently changes hands.

TAEIL MOON from the boyband NCT has already surpassed it this year, and previous bearers of the honor include Rupert Grint and Jennifer Aniston.

Although these are the first milestones set by V alone this year, BTS has already broken a number of records in 2021.

Following its release on May 21, 2021, BTS’ song “Butter” smashed five world records on Spotify and YouTube, including:

Most popular music video on YouTube in the last 24 hours (108,200,000 views)

In the first 24 hours, the Spotify music with the most streams (11,042,335 global streams).

Due to the band’s plethora of records and their undeniable impact on popular music and culture, they have also earned a coveted spot in the Guinness World Records 2022 Hall of Fame.

They have a double-page spread in the Guinness World Records 2022 book that details all their record-breaking achievements to date – though we’re sure there are many, many more to come.
