Elon Musk, the CEO of Twitter, claimed that the microblogging service serves 90 billion tweet impressions daily.
“Nearly 90 billion tweet impressions are being sent by Twitter every day! As we display view counts for all tweets, it will become clear just how tremendously alive the system genuinely is “ heTweeted.
In a post from last month, Musk predicted that Twitter may reach one billion monthly users in the following 12 to 18 months.
I believe I see a road to Twitter surpassing a billion monthly users in 12 to 18 months, he wrote in a tweet.
Also in the same month, Musk claimed that 1.6 million new daily active users had joined the microblogging service in the previous week.
Twitter added 1.6M daily active users this past week, another record high, he stated.
Additionally, the microblogging platform informed advertisers that, following Musk’s takeover, its daily user growth had reached a “all-time high” despite the fact that a number of sponsors had abandoned the service due to internal unrest.
According to a company document obtained by ‘The Verge’, Twitter’s monetisable daily active user (mDAU) growth has accelerated to more than 20 per cent after Musk’s takeover.
As per the report, Twitter has added more than 15 million mDAUs, “crossing the quarter billion mark”. Twitter last reported 237.8 million mDAUs and a 16.6 per cent annual growth for its second quarter.
