Chief Philip Ahua died a week after a surgical operation was carried out on him in teaching hospital, Makurdi. Chief Philip Ahua a retired police officer has been a composer and singer with the renowned Christian denomination NKST throughout his Christian life. According to his son Pastor Victor Ahua (Jahfas) who said the Ahua’s family is not saddened by the death of their father because they believed he was only resting with the Lord Jesus. He continued to narrate the situation that leads to the death of their father saying, he was diabetic so undergoing a major operation again resulted to death. His words:
“I am not in any way saddened by my father’s demise because he has only gone to rest with the Lord, though we may be deeply touched humanly by the vacuum created in the family by his death, we are quite certain that it is the perfect will of God for us”
Pastor Victor Jahfas Ahua, the onetime “Ikebe Supa” crowner formerly known as Mr. Naira has been called into fulltime missionary work by the spirit of God and since then Jahfas has devoted his life, time, resources and talent to the service of God.
Jahfas is married to Mrs. Dorcas Ngodoo Ahua, a marriage blessed with two kids (Jason Sena and Michelle Semem Ahua).
Jahfas who holds a Bachelor’s degree in fisheries and aquaculture is presently an Assistant pastor at the Royal House Parish of the Liberty Arena Family Ministries, Makurdi.
According to Jahfas, his father’s burial arrangements are slated as follows:
24thAugust will be all night Christian wake at NKST Church, Idye, Makurdi.
25thAugust will be all night Christian wake at near Post Office, Mbaliam, Mbagbera, Vandeikya Local Government Area.
26thAugust, requiem and burial at the same venue.
