A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), a former deputy governor and the coordinator of the APC’s presidential campaign in Benue State, His Excellency Chief Steven Lawani has openly endorsed the governorship candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Prof. Bem Angwe for his gubernatorial bid.

Lawani who stated this during a fundraising dinner organized by some Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SANs), friends and colleagues of the Guber hopeful last Saturday in Abuja. Lawani noted that Prof. Bem as a man of repute has the capacity to reposition BENUE State on it’s proper point of development. His words reads in part;

“Irrespective of my position as the APC’s presidential campaign coordinator in Benue State, I chose to honour this invitation because Angwe is my friend, not only that but an industrious son of Benue. I know him quite well and as a man of repute I have no doubt that he will do marvelously well as governor if given the people’s mandate.”

Like Chief Lawani, Engr. Buba Galadima gave his words of endorsement saying, Benue State is significant to the NNPP which is why the party’s logo also has the “food basket symbol” that Benue State is known for. Therefore, it can only be proper if the person that will govern as governor is trustworthy and transparent.

Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso who was represented by a former ally of President Muhammadu Buhari, Engr. Buba Galadima.
