Cititrust Holdings Plc won the African Financial Brand of the Year award at the prestigious BusinessDay’s Bank and other Financial Institutions Awards (BAFI).
Cititrust Group CEO Yemi Adefisan revealed in a statement made available to the Nigerian News Agency (NAN) in Lagos on Sunday. Adefisan, while receiving the award on behalf of the company, expressed his joy at recognition of BusinessDay.
“This award marks another important milestone for Cititrust Holdings and a testament to the resilience and diligent execution of the company’s strategic customer service initiatives.
“Being recognized as the African Financial Brand of the Year complements our commitment to improving efficiency, quality of service and innovation.
Therefore, I dedicate it to our loyal corporate and retail customers, who are our essence.
“We will continue to influence life through our services and funding to individuals, businesses and governments,” he said.
He added that the Financial Brand of the Year award was a recognition of its constant efforts as a steadfast African brand expanding on the continent. Adefisan stressed that the company remains focused on changing the narrative of financial services in Africa. “Even though Africa’s economic landscape has been unpredictable of late, leading to recession in Nigeria and some of Africa’s best performing economies, the company has still found its pace and excelled,” he declared.
Adefisan also highlighted some of the recent Cititrust awards such as: Investment Holding Company of the Year award in the 2019 and 2020 editions of BAFI.
