Nigeria’s Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, is supposed to have representatives on the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC) to the breaking of Ramadan fasting (Iftar) on Tuesday evening.
This is contained in a letter of greeting to the APC group in the Senate, endorsed by the senate leader, Yahaya Abdullahi and read by the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan at the plenary on Monday.
The greeting from Osinbajo is coming less than 48 hours after the VP facilitated Governors on the platform of the APC to breaking of Ramadan fasting on Sunday night to solicit for their help for his official aspiration.
Osinbajo’s letter to the council was perused by the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ahmed Wase, at the launch of the plenary on Tuesday.
In another turn of events, the recently elected National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Abdullahi Adamu, on Tuesday, resigned as Senator representing Nasarawa West Senatorial District.
The abdication letters of the two officials were likewise perused by the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, during plenary.
His Excellency, Abdullahi Adamu, until his political race as National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, led the Senate Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development.
