Rabiu, a Nigerien tea vendor who accepts Pi (Pi Network), owns a tea stall a few meters from Gwagwalada’s main market in the heart of New Kutunku, Gwagwalada Area Council has been interviewed by Daily Trust, a Nigerian National Newspaper.
Details of the interview has already been published by Daily Trust. In the interview, Rabiu narrates his story, how he was referred to Pi Network by a friend and how he was later convinced into accepting Pi payment for meal orders in his place.
According to the Daily Trust’s publication, Rabiu just started mining on Pi Network some weeks before being convinced that the project is genuine and his decision may yield huge benefits when the project is launched into the open mainnet.
Rabiu, the crypto tea vendor does not just sell tea and bread, he combines tea selling with other Nigerian delicacies such as noodles, goat head pepper soup, shredded meat and soft drinks to accommodate more customers. Based on such expansion, Rabiu was motivated by his friends who are into Pi network—a type of cryptocurrency, to introduce it into his business. While he keeps mining his crypto, he also accepts cash payments from his customers.
