This week in London’s COPA v Wright trial, a series of witnesses took the stand in support of Dr. Craig Wright, presenting compelling evidence suggesting his potential role as Satoshi Nakamoto, the elusive creator of Bitcoin. The testimonies, ranging from former business associates to friends, painted a picture of Dr. Wright’s involvement in the early stages of Bitcoin’s development.

One of the most striking testimonies came from Rob Jenkins, a former business associate turned friend of Dr. Wright, who appeared via video link. Jenkins recalled an encounter with Dr. Wright before the public release of the Bitcoin White Paper, where he was shown a document by Dr. Wright containing the term ‘Timecoin’ in the header. This revelation gained significance as ‘Timecoin’ had been prominently featured in early iterations of Dr. Wright’s work on Bitcoin, as evidenced by pre-release documents and handwritten notes.

The gravity of Jenkins’ testimony was such that COPA’s barrister, Jonathan Moss of Hogarth Chambers, accused Jenkins of being ‘prepped’ for his testimony, even demanding that Jenkins hold his notes up to the camera. Despite the scrutiny, Jenkins maintained the authenticity of his recollection.

Earlier in the trial, Dr. Wright faced interrogation from Jonathan Hough KC for COPA regarding the individuals to whom he allegedly provided early drafts of the Bitcoin White Paper. Of those named, only two had been willing to go on record: alleged financial backer Stefan Matthews and Dr. Wright’s uncle Don Lynam. Jenkins’ testimony added another name to this list, further bolstering Dr. Wright’s claims.

The testimonies presented in the COPA v Wright trial shed new light on the mystery surrounding Satoshi Nakamoto’s identity. While Dr. Wright’s assertions have faced skepticism in the past, the accumulation of supporting testimonies adds weight to his claim of being the elusive creator of Bitcoin. As the trial continues, the crypto community awaits further revelations and developments in this ongoing saga. Read Similar Story
