A cryptocurrency asset must adhere to the following requirements in order to be considered for a tracked listing:
- Utilize peer-to-peer technology, distributed ledgers, consensus algorithms, smart contracts, and/or cryptography to serve as a decentralized application, medium of exchange, or store of value.
- Must be able to block explorer and have a working website.
- Must be traded openly and actively on at least one (1) exchange (with a significant volume) whose listing status has been tracked by CoinMarketCap.
- Give us a project representative so we may establish open channels of communication with them for any clarifications.
Why Bitcoin wouldn’t have been listed if it were now
According to the CoinMarketCap guidelines for listing tracked coins, a project representative must be introduced to the platform for open communication, however, Bitcoin doesn’t have this as the acclaimed founder is not known.
The initial owners of http://Bitcoin.org were Satoshi Nakamoto and Martti Malmi, the two men who created Bitcoin. To disperse responsibilities and prevent any one person or organization from readily taking control over the Bitcoin project, Nakamoto handed ownership of the domain to additional people after he departed the project, apart from the Bitcoin developers.
Today, the website is a global open source initiative that operates independently. Although the co-owners retain final publication power, the site co-maintainers arrange all regular activity through the public pull request procedure.
The official website for Bitcoin is not bitcoin.org. The Bitcoin network is not owned by anyone, just like email technology is not owned by anyone. Therefore, nobody has the right to speak on behalf of Bitcoin.
Why Pi Network is more preferable to be listed on CoinMarketCap
Pi Network’s Core Team have made their selves known to the public. The Pi Core Team’s voice and face are represented by Vince McPhillip. Vince will interact with the Pi community in the Pioneer Chat on the Pi Network App several times a week to assist in addressing some queries that others may have about Pi.
Dr. Nicolas Kokkalis is the man behind Pi’s computer programming. He is probably in charge of creating the blockchain technology required to run Pi’s network and marketplace. Many people are still hoping for this to become available even if it is not open sourced at this time. He frequently offers assistance by responding to queries in the Pi Network app’s Developer Chat.
Dr. Chengdiao Fan rarely engages in conversation in the Pi English chat. She does, however, spend a lot of time in the Asian Pi
Conclusion
Pi Network would have been more favored to be tracked listed on the CoinMarketCap than Bitcoin for the simple fact highlighted above.
