The steering committee for the implementation of the survival fund has finally spoken out on the category of applicants that should expect payment in the ongoing disbursements.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on SMEs in the office of the Vice President, Mr. Johnson Tolu explained that not everyone will be paid in the ongoing disbursements.
Although we are going to request for an extension of time from the President but we will give this whole thing a little break to see how we can revamp it in a way that the huddles will be eliminated.
Meanwhile Employees will definitely be paid while Directors or Business Owners may not get direct payment.
” Those who’s details showed incorrect in the MSME general grant will all be paid even if they were not verified by call”.
This is so because, the primary aim of the scheme is to aid MSMEs so we will by-pass some of the restrictions. All employees will also be paid as well.
There are so many cases of people who were verified since 2020 but are yet to receive payments and that’s what we have successfully done right now.
Is the federal government going to continue with this programme again?
Mr. Johnson Tolu explained, that at the moment there are many other federal government’s intervention programmes going on. He said he is not in the position to know if the president may permits the continuation of the Survival Fund.
“we have taken reports back to the president about the success we have recorded from this intervention, now it is left for the President to decide if it should be continued or not so I’m not in the position to know right now.”
Payments will commence soon as the modalities have already been worked out.
