The AscendEX cryptocurrency exchange suffered an attack valued at an estimated $ 77 million following an attack on one of its hot wallets. 

On Sunday, AscendEX announced via Twitter that it had identified a number of unauthorized transactions from one of its hot wallets on Saturday. 

Blockchain analytics firm PeckShield estimates the stolen funds totaled $ 77 million across three chains: Ethereum ($ 60 million), Binance Smart Chain ($ 9.2 million), and Polygon (8, $ 5 million). 

The majority of the $ 77 million came from the relatively small discount (TARA) of $ 10.8 million, while the stablecoin stocks USDT and USDC combined made up $ 10.7 million. claims to serve a million institutional and retail clients.
