After a three-month trial testing period, grocery operator Pick n Pay is expanding its Bitcoin coverage to all of its locations in the country.
After a three-month trial testing period at 39 locations, the South African grocery retailer Pick n Pay is expanding its Bitcoin coverage to all 1,628 outlets across the country.
Retail consumers will be able to pay for items using cryptocurrency using smartphone applications or by scanning a QR code as part of its statewide launch and accept the conversion rate to the South African rand at the time of purchase.
