PiChainMall launch barter in Nigeria and Rwanda as ECO-6 also commenced conversion of Lumi currency to fiat currencies

The Pi Network’s community in Nigeria and Rwanda will today witnessed a major transformation as the long awaited barter from the Network’s ecosystem digital mall will commence today.

Announcing the commencement of the barter PiChainMall disclosed that “Nigeria and Rwanda will be open for barter today October 5th.” This however followed it’s earlier launch of barter in ten countries which the digital mall listed to include Ghana, Egypt, Nepal, Taiwan, and Korea. Others are Togo, Philippines, Vietnam, Ivory Coast and Malaysia.

The commencement of barter in Nigeria is the first and major transformational efforts being achieved by the Pi Network’s community in the Africa’s most populous Nation. Pioneers in Nigeria will purchase items ranging from groceries, electronics, mobile gadgets, footwears and clothing materials during this maiden phase of the launching while merchants across the country are equally expected to list more commodities on the digital mall to increase the volume of transactions.

In a separate development, the African Diaspora Sixth Region (ECO-6) has also begin the conversion of it’s digital currency (the Lumi) to other fiat currencies across the Continent. The President of ECO-6 Chief Timothy Elisha McPherson made this known during a virtual meeting coordinated by Mr. Mbi Mbapeh on zoom.

ECO-6 rolled out a stimulus package to support vulnerable Africans with a three year monthly payment of AKL 6.26 to each beneficiary every month for three years. The stimulus being disbursed by the Swiffin digital platform is paid on the 28th of every month through a digital wallet.

A statement by the Swiffin officials affirmed that, efforts and discussions with the Nigerian financial authority especially the Central Bank to have it’s e-Naira adopted hand-in-hand with the Lumi digital currency on a single platform. In view of this, the Swiffin has unveiled an exchange platform called the”Swiffin Transact” to enable beneficiaries trade with each other using mostly their local currencies though with the underlying value in the Lumi currency.
