On December 28, 2022, news portals all across the globe, including NEWSWAY, began to document the Pi Network trend.

The first exchange platform to express interest in Pi Network was Huobi. Huobi Global stated that they will follow Pi Network updates, analyze them, and list its native token once the Mainnet was launched. However, when XT.COM hit the scene and announced the listing of the coin merely the next day, December 29, things took a new turn.

Pi Coin has been listed on the following exchanges over the past five days:

1. XT.COM

2. Huobi

3. BitMart

4. SuperEX

5. Biconomy

6. Atlantis Exchange

Core Team Criticized the listings

The exchanges who allegedly listed the coin for trading in recent days have received a severe rebuke from the Pi Core team. The Pi Core team is requesting that all exchanges delete the coin and claims that they have not been engaged in any listing.

No postings have been approved, and the team advises all Pioneers not to participate, in order to safeguard all Pioneers and the integrity of the Pi Network.

“It is important to reiterate that Pi is currently in the Enclosed Network and is not approved by Pi Network for listing on any exchange or for trading, and Pi Network was not involved with any of these purported postings or listings,” the blog post reads.

The Core Team went ahead to caution further that:

“In the interim, it is important to reiterate that the transaction of Pi through an exchange is explicitly prohibited during the Enclosed Mainnet period, and doing so would be a violation of Pi’s policies,” the post says.

There is no scheduled date for opening the Pi Network locked mainnet. In a recent end-of-year update, the core team highlighted their focus on finishing KYC and making additional technological advancements.
