Pi Network: Six Platforms Allegedly List Pi Coin Against Core Team’s Consent

Recent developments in the cryptocurrency space have brought the Pi Network under scrutiny, as six platforms purportedly listed Pi Coin without the consent of the Pi Core Team. The listings, which occurred over the past five days, have sparked controversy within the crypto community and raised questions about the integrity of the Pi Network.

The Pi Network, which gained significant attention on December 28, 2022, has seen a surge in interest from various exchange platforms. While Huobi Global initially expressed interest in listing Pi Coin pending updates and the launch of the Mainnet, other platforms like XT.COM, BitMart, SuperEX, Biconomy, and Atlantis Exchange proceeded to list the token without official approval from the Pi Core Team.

The actions of these exchanges have drawn criticism from the Pi Core Team, who have denounced the listings and called for the removal of Pi Coin from trading platforms. In a blog post, the Core Team reiterated that Pi is currently in the Enclosed Network and has not been approved for listing or trading on any exchange. They emphasized that no postings have been authorized, and they advised all Pioneers not to engage in trading activities to protect the integrity of the Pi Network community.

Furthermore, the Core Team emphasized that any transaction of Pi through an exchange during the Enclosed Mainnet period would violate Pi’s policies. Despite the listings on multiple platforms, there is no scheduled date for the opening of the Pi Network locked mainnet. The Core Team remains focused on completing KYC processes and advancing technological developments as outlined in their recent end-of-year update.
