On Monday, October 31st, 2022, Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s nominee for president, is scheduled to deliver his political platform to the media.
This is in accordance with Doyin Okupe, the director of Obi’s campaign, who revealed on Sunday that the platform is dubbed “The Pact with Nigeria.”
Obi joins Bola Tinubu, another prominent presidential contender, in announcing his economic platform earlier this month.
Doyin Okupe said that the document outlines the seven policies that the Obi-Baba Ahmed administration had as part of its plan to usher in a new Nigeria.
Initially, Tinubu published his manifesto: In his manifesto, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC candidate, emphasized the need for Nigeria to sever the direct connection between naira expenditure and dollar inflows into the country’s economy.
He also urged suspending the limits on government spending during this protracted moment of global economic turmoil exacerbated by domestic challenges in security, economy and demography.

Obi vowed to fully explore the value chain of the cattle economy and to revitalize the dying cotton and textile industries. Additionally, he declared that he will concentrate on Northern Nigeria’s infrastructure, particularly its highways, energy, and dams.
On the other side, Tinubu stated that he will investigate the oil deposits in the Chad basin and Benue trough.
