Mrs. Omobolanle Raheem: IG ordered prompt inquiry and prosecution of the officers

Usman Alkali Baba, the inspector general of police, has denounced the shooting and death of Mrs. Omobolanle Raheem, a lawyer who was allegedly shot and killed by a police officer walking out of the Ajiwe Police Station in Ajah, Lagos State.

The Inspector General of Police (IGP), who called the situation tragic and sad, has ordered a prompt inquiry and prosecution of the officers in charge of the obscene and unprofessional act, which doesn’t reflect the Nigeria Police Standard Operating Procedure and fundamental principles.

The IGP also expresses his sympathy to the deceased’s family, friends, and coworkers while praying for the soul’s peace. He also promises the public that justice will be served in the matter while cautioning the officers and members of the Force to act professionally and with consideration for others.
