A Chinese cryptocurrency entrepreneur and business executive, Justin Sun who owns the Tron Blockchain DAO is seeking the opinions of pioneers (Pi Network users) through a Twitter poll on the listing of the Pi Coin on various exchanges especially Huobi Global recently.

The Tron’s founder might have taken such measure in other to either criticize the various exchanges that listed Pi Coin without the understanding of the Core Team. However, he believes the Web3 era gives more power to the community rather than developers.

As of the time this report was written, those voting in favor of the listing had already received 54% of the votes, while those voting in support of the Core Team had received 46% of the votes.

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Permanent Representative of Grenada to the WTO, a member of the Huobi global advisory board, actually tweeted three distinct surveys to gauge the opinions of the project communities.

Whether Huobi should list Pi Coin and Core Token is the question tweeted in two of the polls. To determine which project has the greatest community, a third poll was also conducted.

The third poll found that Pi Network received 72% of the votes, compared to Core DAO’s 28%, demonstrating that Sun’s twitter followers—who are undoubtedly pioneers—outperform those who mine using the Core DAO platform.

What is Pi Network?

Nicolas Kokkalis and Chengdiao Fan of Stanford University created the Pi network. To make digital money available to everyone, they began working on it in 2018. They created the Pi Network app and published a whitepaper on March 14, 2019.

The project prioritizes environmental sustainability, which may draw in environmentally conscious investors. Given that the crypto market has repeatedly come under fire for its high energy consumption as a result of procedures like proof-of-work (PoW), which is bad for the environment, it might be especially effective.
