Beirut, Lebanon – Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah applauded Palestinian militants and regional forces attacking Israeli and U.S. interests following a recent Hamas attack on Israel on October 7. In a highly anticipated televised speech, Nasrallah hailed the offensive by Hamas militants, which resulted in the loss of over 1,400 lives in Israel and the abduction of more than 240 hostages, as “glorious,” as reported by Al Jazeera.

Nasrallah stated that the operation was executed without the knowledge of other parties within what he referred to as the “resistance axis.” His remarks come amidst ongoing clashes between the Israeli Defense Forces and Hamas, marked by a “lengthy battle” on Thursday night, during which terrorists fired anti-tank missiles and activated several improvised explosive devices (IEDs), according to the IDF.

In response to the escalating conflict, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday morning. The meeting occurred after the White House called for a “humanitarian pause” in the ongoing hostilities between Israel and Hamas. This marks Blinken’s third trip to Israel since the outbreak of the conflict.

During his visit, Blinken is expected to press for a cessation of fighting in the Gaza Strip and advocate for measures to safeguard the civilian population within the enclosure. He is also set to meet with the Israeli war cabinet to discuss strategies to mitigate the conflict’s impact on both sides.

The situation remains tense as clashes persist between the Israeli Defense Forces and Hamas militants. The international community closely watches these developments, hoping for a resolution that will bring peace and stability to the region. Read Similar Story
