The Pi core team made a number of enhancements to the testnet developer tools to help it achieve its enclosed mainnet objective of developing Pioneer utilities.

Two fundamental updates were made to the testnet, as stated in the protocol’s Pi Day announcement, to help developers produce more original inventions. App to User Payments and Developer Wallet are two of them.

The Pi ecosystem can be developed while both versions are active on the testnet. App to User Payment makes sure that funds are transferred between users and producers. Developer Wallets, on the other hand, let program developers use Pi to build their infrastructure.

“App to User payments enables payment flows between app developers and members. Developer Wallets were released on Testnet, as specific wallets, for app developers to hold and utilize Pi for the apps they are developing,” the blog read.

Prior to the mainnet’s opening, the core team and Pi developers are charged with testing both features for bugs. They will shortly be integrated into the Pi Network open mainnet once they have been verified as secure and dependable.

The developer tools that have been introduced to the Pi testnet will, in general, aid community developers and Pioneers in their cooperative building efforts. It is a significant move toward the eagerly awaited launch of the open mainnet, which is what matters most.

What is Pi Network?

Pi Network is a novel cryptocurrency and developer platform allowing mobile users to mine Pi coins without draining the battery. Pi’s blockchain secures economic transactions via a mobile meritocracy system and a full Web 3.0 experience where community developers can build decentralized applications (Dapps) for millions of users.
