Brendon, a CoreDAO contributor, had a Telegram AMA with the MEXC on February 3, 2023. He responded to a wide range of issues, including what CORE is, how CORE was established, and its vision and mission. MEXC will list $CORE first on February 8th, 2023.
Introduction
Yity: We are grateful to have Brendon in our community today to give us a more in-depth overview of their innovative idea.
Brendon: Hey there, everyone! We appreciate working with Core and being hosted by MEXC. My name is Brendon, and I am one of the numerous global contributors to the Core team. We’ve put a lot of effort into getting here and are eagerly anticipating the airdrop and listings on February 8. Supporting our ecology and completing our Mission then becomes the actual labor!
Community questions:
Yity: What exactly is CORE? Can you give us further specifics?
Brendon: Okay, let’s get back to the fundamentals. An EVM-compatible L1 blockchain is Core. It is run using our cutting-edge Satoshi Plus Consensus Mechanism, a hybrid of delegated proof of stake and delegated proof of work (BTC) (DPOS).
To creatively resolve the blockchain trilemma, Core combines the composability of an EVM chain with the decentralization and security of Bitcoin. $CORE is the native token. (Go to http://www.coredao.org!)
Yity: 2. When did Core begin? What’s the backstory to that?
Brendon: One of our favorite tales to tell is this one.
The conversation between two close friends that started it all was amicable. One was a BTC maxi at the time, and the other was an ETH maxi.
Following their discussion, a novel idea was born: build a blockchain that incorporated the greatest features of each. And so Core was created. a layer 1 blockchain that relies on the security and decentralization provided by Bitcoin’s PoW Consensus, mixed with the composability of an EVM chain for decentralized applications, and smart contracts.
