Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency in the world, created by Satoshi Nakamoto. The Coin was launched back in 2009 though with no monetary value.

Over the years Bitcoin began to rise in value gradually until it’s highest price. On May 22, 2010, a Florida man reportedly made the first Bitcoin transaction in the real world when he agreed to exchange 10,000 BTC for two Papa John’s pizzas, which were worth roughly $25. In that transaction, one Bitcoin was worth around one-fourth of a cent.

Analysts estimate that despite Bitcoin’s flaws, this cryptocurrency will continue to grow in value during 2023 and reach a maximum value of $30,121 by the end of the year.
