2023 POLLS: PDP yet to decide which zone to produce the next president

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has dismissed cases proposing that it has drafted its 2023 official toward the North.

This followed late comments by previous Niger State lead representative and tribal leader of the party, Dr Babangida Aliyu, asserting that the party had consented to re-zone the pass toward the North regardless of having opened it up to wannabes from different pieces of the country.

In an assertion by Hon Debo Ologunagba, the party’s National Publicity Secretary on Saturday, the PDP kept up with that the case “is totally deceptive as it doesn’t in any capacity address the place of our party.”

The assertion added: “For the aversion of uncertainty, the PDP decidedly and unequivocally expresses that it has not drafted it’s Presidential pass to any piece of the country.

“The PDP is an ideological group established on equitable standards and each activity of the party, including drafting, depends on broad interviews, conversations and thought of the relative multitude of issues just as the different propensities and interests the country over, with the principle objective of guaranteeing that the solidarity, quiet conjunction and improvement of our country are supported and advanced.

The PDP in this manner encouraged Nigerians, its overflowing individuals and allies to totally dismiss “the unwarranted drafting claims as being sold.”

It likewise advised those behind the cases to halt forthwith.

The PDP expressed gratitude toward Nigerians across board for “the mind-boggling interest they host in our get-together as their definite stage to Rescue and Rebuild our country from mismanagement and urges them to stay joined together and engaged as we unite for the assignment ahead.”

In the mean time, the PDP has moved the screening of competitors for the Osun State Governorship political decision essential from the previous planned date of Tuesday, January 11, 2022, to another date of Wednesday, January 12, 2022.

An assertion gave by Honorable Umar Bature, its National Organizing Secretary on Saturday, said the setting for the screening exercise remains PDP National Secretariat, Abuja at 10 am quick.

The assertion said PDP laments any bothers the adjustment of date might have caused.

“All wannabes, pioneers, basic partners and individuals from our party in Osun State should observe and by this, be directed likewise,” it expressed.
