The CORE Mining development team has reportedly delayed the launching of it’s Mainnet. The report says, the company is currently undergoing blockchain audit and a new date will be communicated to it’s miners as soon as the audit is completed.
The development team however attributed the delays to a battle the Platform is facing in testing the new Consensus Mechanism (Satoshi Plus). The report further stated that despite the huge progress the platform has achieved in the past months, they have no alternative left than to delay the Mainnet launch. The report reads;
“In the time period following our last
Satoshi TestNet update, we have
continued to see incredible user growth and engagement.
“Our upgrade went successfully and we’re continuing to battle test our new consensus mechanism – Satoshi Plus. Despite all that we have achieved, we’ve had to delay our Main Net in order to bring the best possible product to market.
“To be more specific, we are spending
‘extra’ time to bring ‘extra’ safety to our network. We have finished all internal development and test work early in July.
However, in order to make our blockchain even safer and robust, we
hired two of the premiere auditors in the entire cryptosphere – Least Authority and Halborn to help us to fully review our blockchain codebase.
As soon as we get a pass from our auditors, we plan to launch our MainNet.”
The development team are however, optimistic that audit will be done successfully and a new date be fixed for the Mainnet launching.
In case you are not aware
Core is powered by a new consensus mechanism, Satoshi Plus which applies a protocol-driven validator election mechanism to combine the optional features of Proof of Work (PoW) and Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) to ensure the maximization of security, scalability, and decentralization.
The rapid development of BTC which makes its value rise millions of times in ten years has made only a few people caught up with BTC and this is not in line with Satoshi Nakamoto’s fair wealth creation and protection of wealth spirit and this now led to the birth of Core Coin (BTCs).
