Aliko Dangote has declared that his new multibillion-naira investment in the sugar subsector will generate 300,000 new employment.
The corporate media department of Dangote released a statement announcing the most recent significant job recruitment.
The Group’s President, Aliko Dangote, was reportedly mentioned in the statement as adding that the company was increasing activities in the sugar sub-sector and giving new funding, according to The Punch.
This follows a different initiative to employ Nigerians at its petrochemical facility in Lagos.
Dangote is credited with founding this state at the flag-off ceremony for the 2022–2023 Crushing Season and Outgrower Scheme Awards in Numan, Adamawa State.
The wealthiest Man in Africa claimed that there would be both direct and indirect employment prospects. Dangote declared:
“Through the expansion of DSR Numan’s sugar refining capacity from 3000tcd to 6000tcd, 9800tcd, and 15,000tcd, we are making significant investments in Adamawa State. DSR will be able to generate about 300,000 jobs nationwide, both directly and indirectly, with favorable multiplier effects.”

Otunba Adeniyi Adebayo, the Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment, reportedly commended the effort as admirable.
